Underground Pizza in New York City

My son had a delicious gluten free pizza. Nice sauce! I had a slice and it was tasty! The owner is super friendly and welcoming. Come check it out if you are in the area. They also have pastas and hot grinders/subs.

They were able to do vegan, but wish they had vegan cheese!! Still yum and friendly staff :)

First time to New York and heard good reviews about Underground Pizza. It was my first experience of a big New York slice. I ordered two full pizza's during my time in New York and loved both of them.

Awesome thin crust pizza and not too expensive

Consistently excellent every time! The guys behind the counter are always smiling and patient as you pick what you want. Hard to not want everything! Best crust in lower Manhattan!

I took pepperoni Pizza slice. It was tasty but the edges were too hard too eat. That spoiled the overall experience. In lunch hours, there is always heavy footfall of take-out customers. The service is quick, you won't have to wait much once you place your order.

If you live in the FiDi, this is probably one of your favorite pizza places. I have been probably 10 times in the past ten or so weeks, and absolutely love the pizza and service. Get a slice of "Grandma" pizza if they have it available!

I'm not one to seek out thin crust pizza, but it's NYC! Absolutely delicious. Little wait time. Big slice, worth the money. Served nice and hot. Dinning room is up a set of stairs. Glad I found this place!

When we arrived at Battery Park, NY I set a pizza restaurant search and saw the great ratings for Underground Pizza and recommended my family and I eat there. There’s a lot of construction off Broadway right now, so the Yelp map directions threw us off, but we ended up passing the New York Stock Exchange building and enjoyed a few nice buildings along the way. Once we arrived we were immediately greeted by one of the servers and given the chance to order. We were pretty hungry so we ordered 5 different slices of pizza to try a little of everything and share. We asked if they could cut the slices in thirds and they said, “Of course”! The pizza wasn’t greasy and every slice we had hit the spot! Then to our surprise the owner, Ben, introduced himself and gave us a great story about how Underground Pizza came to be. Great local spot, with great service and staff! Will definitely be back on my next trip to New York. Cheers!

Very well kept and welcoming restaurant. They offer large portions and for fair rates. I liked the meals very much and the staff members were very friendly and chatty. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

I had the calzone which arrived quickly. The calzone was tasty, the only had plastic utensils which made eating difficult. My wife had a slice of pizza, but was not impressed.

Delicious pizza, reasonably priced, and room th o sit down inside. We had a half pepperoni/half sausage pie and it was enough food for 2 adults and 5 children.

We always order from there at work. Went there on my own, enjoyed a delicious 🍕 and the place looks small but go up the stairs, you will find seats. Pretty awesome if you don't want to go 😁 back to work and eat peacefully.

Great slice spot, perfect for lunch, very fast. Highly recommend the square spinach slice. It's basically like spinch dip on pizza.

The pizzas are good enough on any given day. Cards are accepted for a single slice. Mushroom and cheese are the most preferred ones. Old place with electric ovens.

Their pizza is amazingly good!!! The price is acceptable and the taste is awesome! My friend even ate two pieces. The staff are nice. We will definitely visit again.

$5 for the smallest slice of Pepperoni pizza I've ever seen in New York, and it isn't even that good. I'd avoid it If I were you, more affordable option RIGHT around the corner.

It took 15 minutes just to get our drinks, but pizza was delicious, I just wish we got better service.

A classic New York slice but nothing to write home about. Their specialty (spinach, Detroit style, etc.) pizza is particularly good. All service and food was cheap and fast and the staff were great!

Nice and fast, ate a whole pizza by myself it's just so tasty!

Very chill and the entire staff included a very nice group of people. The pizza was delicious, quick, and they had a great selection of slices that were ready. I ate their two days in a row and a great benefit is that they heat your slices so that they are hot and not just warm. I'll revisit for sure during my next trip!
